Breakin' Drumline
Breakin’ Drumline was composed for the Marching and Breaking project and is scored for six percussionists, each performing on a high-tension snare drum. The work can be staged in a traditional marching style, moving along the sides of the stage and back down while playing, or performed with all six snares mounted on stands if mobility is limited.
Inspired by American snare drum techniques, Breakin’ Drumline is energetic, rhythmically precise, and adaptable for both traditional sticks and alternative tools. This piece is perfect for ensembles looking to explore marching-inspired percussion in a visually and rhythmically engaging performance.
